Anyone a fan? Puch, Tomos, Honda, Vespa, anything. I'm looking to buy a Puch or Vespa myself.

I have an 82 Honda Express SR and an old JC Penney Swinger (rebranded Puch). I think the Puch is the better of the two. The Honda has seperate tanks for oil and gas and the carb mixes them for you. The carb seems to always get gummed up though... Need to take it off and soak it in Gunk every season.

Good to know. I've read nothing but praise for Puchs, but the single speed worries me in the city. I know there are two speeds, but they don't have as much aftermarket support. The Honda has a CVT right?

From what I recall it's a CVT. Haven't ridden in it a few years cause of the hassle of having to take off the carb every season.

I've been wanting one a lot recently. I moved out a couple months ago and my roommate is really in to them. I live in somewhat of a hipster area, so there's a huge scene for them. They always get together on Sundays and help each other out working on their mopeds. Since I've lived at my new place, my roommate has had a Tomos, a Puch, a Motobecane (which I'm told is pretty rare?), and his girlfriend has a Honda.
